A few more cards

hi friends,

The first one here is a get well card for Col's Aunty Jo who is 83 and had an operation on her hip

We had a crafting evening at church and only 3 turned up so we decided just to "play"
My friend Chris had this new flourish Sizzix die which I just had to try. I love the contrast of the black, white and red combination. someone on the cricut board commented that she was surprised I left the butterflies off this one. Well I've been thinking about that! watch this space lol.

Man's card

Here is my entry to Michelle's blog candy challenge over on http://bcr8iv.blogspot.com/

It is made with the motorbike from the Going places Cricut cartridge with the S from George and basic shapes. It is very blingy as the base of the motorbike is like chrome and the top laye of the S is cut from an irridescent colour glossy card. the back ground paper is actually made from a wide wallpaper border with a strip of purple/blue translucent irridescent tape across the top. The "Happy Birthday" is a silver peel off sticker which I think looks very effective on the silver card smoke cloud.

WHY ARE MEN SO HARD TO MAKE CARDS FOR?

These butterflies are taking over

First one is hand made paper backing and butterfly. Using the paper that I cut the little butterflies from to make that easter card I posted. After cutting these few I looked at it and thought, I would mat that piece up and use the negative space from those butterflies and I think it worked pretty well. This one is so much more girly than my usual style. I had this patterned paper that I just had to try with the tried and tested three butterfly combo. I think the metallic gold works well with the floral patterns. and I used peeloff letters and made the greeting look like it was falling from the sky
This one is a sympathy card for a close friend of mine whose father has just died. It was so hard to come up with a suitable card for her. the closer the friends/Family the harder it is to create the card that is just right for these sensitive circumstances.

I am not sure how to finish this last one off. The pattern is a metallic giftwrap and the dragonfly is part of that. the only add on embellishments so far are the three tiny crystal flowers and the metallic purple butterfly. I left the top half free for a greeting of some kind but not sure what!

Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved.
